What have I done in this decade....?

I am just looking back at my foot prints.... so 10 years .... 3653 days.... It has been a journey from a penniless school kid to a software engineer at an MNC... Let me tell you all my story....

2000-2001
Back then I was still at JNV... Life was mostly driven by school and mess bells. My school life is about to close in 3 more months... and Last year with friends for 7 years... and I was still not yet sure about whether to settle in Medicine or Engineering...! I knew everything was gonna be dark outside Navodaya... My teachers were betting on me for Regional topper.. It had largely been reading, reading and reading in the special study hours at MP( multipurpose ) hall. Occasionally (... to be frank ... my eyes always used to look around for her) staring at 10th class students... who used to sit at the backside block. Sometimes I used sit along with 10th class students themselves... Never ever any teacher raised concerns about me sitting there...because they never wanted to disturb me.. I was their hope.. I still remember the day when my principal took a class to 10graders, explaining them how an Ideal student should be like quoting me as an example... I went all the way to (I went all the way to PM palem to get a greeting card for.. thanks Bulli for lending me some money.....
I just got an Idea....! I should write a book on my whole Navodaya eperiencess... oneday.. why one day ... why not now?
I quit... I have a book to wright right now...

Its been a while since I blogged...!

Twitter is set to eat up all the blogging sites...! As far as my opinion is concerned...I prefer tweeting over blogging. I can simply type in what I am doing in less than 140 characters and viola my friends are updated ... I don't have to open a blog site like this and write - edit and fool proof ...
Finally the year end has come and Harsh for the first time ( after I've joined) went on a tour. Ryan is away in Goa. So I have unofficially two weeks of holidays and I've not yet figured out what to do. I need to do lot shopping but don't know where to ... I searched every nook and corner of Megamart (Banshankari) but couldn't find a single shirt of my size. Thats the disadvantage of staying away from the main stream...
I called my Dad today.. He is not coming home for the Makara Sankranthi...Its broken family again...I miss him again...

Since I started taking rest and don't put my brain to work anymore, it is getting degraded day by day. I, of late observed that I am loosing the power to remember things.. especially numbers and nouns which are not logically connected.. If someone asks me wats my mobile number... It aches like hell in the head for a while and then only I can attempt to recollect it...

Getting older huh..! but this is too early... and long way to go.. Lets see how I am gonna handle this...

I have seen very remote places where you can get very cheap and tasty - found nowhere else kind of delicacies which everyone needs to know...!
I have never tasted a butter fruit juice - very taste of it makes me run away from it but my friend had seriously suggested me to eat (rather drink) it at this place. It is just Rs15 but I felt I should give him more

Invitation to a geeks wedding

Yesterday my Software Engineer friend from Kolkata sent me an invitation. It goes like this

Hi,

I know,

• You are the pillar of your project/ software company/college. Or

• All the modules need your input to execute properly. Or

• Students will get disappointed without your lecture. Or

• Whole wireless network will come down if you take leave. Or

• All clients will be in problems in case of your absence. Or

But, it is my marriage and it is your responsibility to be there.

So, stop all your development, maintenance and bug-fixing works. Plan your trip. My wedding occasion doesn’t contain catch blocks for No Time Exception, Too Busy Exception, Next Week Delivery Exception and other runtime errors.

Journey called life at cross roads

It's been a year since I joined Oracle... You may not believe me If I say... I've completely transformed after joining Oracle. No workouts and no sports. Only physical work I do now is kicking foot ball in the room every time I get frustrated with the things around.

I should not blame Oracle for this... Few things I like about Oracle are

1)Good Managers. Oracle has got really good (fantastic managers if I have to say truth) managers. My manager is even better.

2) Pays you heavy even when you don't do anything and keep on breaking the labels

3) I would have left Oracle with in 6 months if I had had a different team than this.

but one thing is for sure. I don't have future here. I don't belong here. Just looking around for other options...

PHD... ? Its a struggle for another 5 years. I don't think I can bear it any longer

Image Processing?... I'm unable to save a single paisa with what I am getting here. How could I survive if I go for IP jobs which pays me only half of what I get here.
